Chase Joseph Render

10

We proudly welcome Chase in to our family at 8lbs 10oz and 21″ in length!

Wednesday March 9th started like any other weekday, breakfast for Cole, dog outside, off to school.  Just yesterday, Kristen had driven in to her office in Westborough, MA (about 30 minutes away) but somehow knew to keep to the house today.  I too had the same idea and the two of us found each other working Chase Joseph Renderfrom the home this morning.  At some point, and quite randomly, I decided it was finally time to put the infant car seat in the car.  I even tested the video camera.  What did we both see coming? There were no signs that baby was coming today…

Then at 1:15 PM Kristen announced that she had experienced a contraction.  Shortly after we were in the car en-route on a 40-minute drive to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.  We arrived somewhere around 2:15 PM.  Baby was born at 2:42 PM.  From first contraction to delivery we’re talking under two hours.  To boot he timed his arrival in the middle of the day when Cole was at school and traffic was a non-issue.  WHAT A POLITE KID!

As expected, Mom is doing extraordinarily well and was especially joyed when Chase met his big brother later that evening. Anticipated discharge is Friday!

Love,
Ed, Kristen, Cole & Chase
